Beach Engagement shoot in Sardinia

I was honoured to photograph Samira and Hermann’s dream spring island wedding in Sardinia recently and on the Friday evening before the wedding they organised a get-together for all the guests on the beach at Oasi Beach Marana in the Golfo Aranci region. I took the opportunity to photograph their engagement session at sunset before they mingled and partied the night away with their guests. Here a few of my favourites.

Spring mountain hut Wedding

Olga and Alex celebrated their wedding in the national park of Johnsbach in Styria – a place they love to spend their weekends and holidays hiking. The area is spectacular beautiful and quite different to other places I have seen all over austria. I loved Olga’s feather Pronovias dress and fishtail braids, a trend that I am starting to see this season. Their wedding was wonderfully relaxed and casual, celebrated with close friends and family with most of Olga’s side coming all the way from Moscow.

Sweet Vienna Civil Ceremony

I’ll be photographing Ana & Sebastian’s big summer wedding later this year and was happy to also document their civil ceremony a few weeks ago. Ana looked gorgeous in her red dress and Vienna could not have showed off a more gorgeous spring day.

While we were in Portugal over Easter I managed to grab a photo session with this amazing couple, Sara and Vitor, in Porto.

Alpine wedding in Arlberg

Diane had discovered my work some time ago while planning her sister’s wedding and when it came her time to get married she looked me up and wrote me the loveliest email. I was finally able to meet her in London a few months ago where she and Beat were living (they have just moved to Tokyo!) to get to know one another and talk about their wedding.

They love skiing in St Anton in Arlberg and decided to have their wedding there being a middle meeting point between Germany (where Diana is from) and Switzerland (where Beat is from). They had the Hospiz Alm on the mountain for the evening to celebrate with friends and family. Julia Hörl from Munich did an amazing job with the flowers following through Diana’s color scheme and decoration for the reception (Diana is an event planner herself). With ‘Ganz’ being their new family name, a feather became their wedding symbol and could be seen throughout the deco theme. Keep an eye out for the DIY snowglobes!

Another novel idea – all guests received a small canvas with their wedding invitation which they had to bring back decorated with a message for the couple. This at the end made up their guest book!

Barcelona Engagement shoot

I met Benny and Sarit during a recent visit to Barcelona where they live. By chance they just emailed me a couple of weeks before to talk about their upcoming wedding plans so it was perfect timing that I happened to be passing by and we could meet in person. We met for coffee in the Parque de la Ciudadela where we also had an engagement session. They are such a fun high energy couple and I simply cannot wait for their upcoming wedding later this year in Barcelona!
