Imperial Spanish wedding at Palais Auersperg

No words can describe Carla and Luis’ Imperial wedding last month in Vienna. When I first met Carla and her sister at Demel Café some time before we got along straight away, Carla was such an easy going (well all spanish are arent they?) and aimable person.  There were a few things she told me about the wedding then, and that it would include opera singers, dancers, a flash mob and fireworks to the music of Michael Jackson, and oh that the style of her dress was going to be a bit like Swan Lake. This I could not wait to see!

Why they chose Vienna? Carla told me that her grandmother was originally from Austria and that she promised her that when she gets married, she would do so in Austria. Although her grandmother is sadly no longer here, she kept her promise and brought all her family and friends from Spain and other of parts of the world, to Vienna for their grand Imperial wedding.

I enjoyed accompanying the girls to their spa treatments (even got one myself!) on the friday afternoon before the wedding and then joined the guys wine-tasting in their Imperial suite. In the evening they planned a traditional austrian dinner with music and balloons for all their guests who came in the day before.  But for today I will share the wedding day images with you.

p.s I also loved the fact that the main sit down meal of the day was at lunch time, and the evening was enjoyed with dancing!
