Maria & Adrian {Danish wedding}

30/08/11

I just loved Maria and Adrian’s wedding! Guests had already arrived from Denmark, where Maria is from, Canada, where Adrian is from, and Brussels, where they both live.  So it was a Danish, Canadian, french love affair :)

I immediately fell in love with all the details and decoration Maria made for her wedding.  She found most of her inspiration from the Style Me Pretty wedding blog and I have shared where she sourced all her decoration ideas and items from below.

They got married in a tiny little chapel on top of the mountain which I just loved! The light was gorgeous too as we had a mixture of dark clouds and sun coming through.  After the ceremony where niece Carina sung beautifully, the guests congratulated the couple and their two boys were finally able to kiss their newly married parents :)

We all headed back to the guesthouse for champagne and strawberries, and as background music Maria had her grandmother’s old Gramophone playing old records. Love!  I want one of those for my wedding :)

The evening meal was superb, with 5 courses in total and then wedding cake.  I loved the Danish kissing games throughout the evening which I had never seen before. (When one partner leaves the room, everyone gets to kiss the other partner).  I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves!

Thank you so much Maria and Adrian for having us, we had a ball and thank you to your family at Gasthof Stranachwirt for having us too, we loved your little hotel!

xoxo
