Caroline & Russell {Alpine Wedding}

Caroline and Russell (otherwise known as Caz & Russ) are keen snowboarders and head to the Alps on a yearly basis, their favourite resort being Mayrhofen in Austria.  Once Russell proposed to Caroline over a year ago, they decided to have a very non-traditional wedding in the sense, and create a fun day for their guests in a winter setting in Mayrhofen. About 40 guests came in from the UK and they had a fabulous week on the slopes and in the mountain resort, with the main focus being on Caz and Russ’s special day.

At more than 2000m up the slopes, the scene was set. Rose petals were strewn while guests slowly started to arrive, and hot chocolate and brownies were served to keep everyone warm.

Much to everyone’s suprise, a sudden snowball fight broke out …..

BRIDESMAIDS VS GROOMSMEN !!!

We then all headed up to WHITE LOUNGE , an igloo bar up one of the ski slopes,

for some seriously chilled champagne!

Finally some aprés ski drinks, before heading to a traditional restaurant

for some heartfelt Austrian food.  I loved Caroline’s rustic approach to her

decorations throughout the day.
